Travel Blog: Vietnam

Have you ever spent hours staring at spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations, daydreaming about escaping it all? Well, you’re not alone. People travel for many reasons, but one of the most common is to take a break from the daily grind and experience something new. That’s why I wanted to share with you all my experience of my visit to Vietnam, a country full of vibrant culture, delicious cuisine, and breath-taking scenery.

Trip Experiences & Memories
  • Kickstarted our adventure in bustling Hanoi, city of lakes, by savouring local delicacies and nightlife, including a must-visit spot – iBiero Craft Beer Station, where we were bowled over by the incredible hospitality.
  • Embarked on a full-day tour of the breath-taking Ninh Binh countryside, cycling through rice paddies and limestone karsts, while also successfully conquering the challenging hiking trail.
  • Sailed around the UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay, marvelling at its breath-taking views.
  • Indulged in the vibrant café culture of Hoi An, basked in the warm glow of colourful lanterns, and unwound on serene beaches.
  • Embarked on an unforgettable Mekong Delta Cruise and delved into the history of the Vietnam War by exploring the intricate Chu Chi Tunnels in Ho Chi Minh City.
Must Eat

Speaking of food, Vietnam’s cuisine is among the best in the world. Some of my must-eats included traditional pho noodle soup, fresh spring rolls, and banh mi sandwiches. I also recommend trying egg coffee, a unique Vietnamese drink made with egg yolks and condensed milk.

Must-to-dos

As for must-to-dos, I highly recommend taking a street food tour in Hanoi, cruising along the Mekong Delta, and visiting the historic Cu Chi Tunnels near Ho Chi Minh City. And for non-billable advice, be sure to pack comfortable shoes, a cap, and a raincoat, as the weather can be unpredictable.

Overall, my trip to Vietnam was an unforgettable adventure that allowed me to immerse myself in a new and exciting culture. So, if you’re feeling the need to escape your daily routine, take my advice and embark on a journey to Vietnam. You won’t be disappointed!
